Job TitlePlant 78 | Supply Clerk | Shift CPosition OverviewPosition Objective: The position will work closely with all aspects of facility to ensure necessary support is provided for Departmental supply needs to maintain efficient and effective operations. Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):
Comply with procedures found in SMS.
Perform all duties using safe work methods to include wearing required PPE.
Comply with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy.
Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as required.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Comply with procedures found in HQMS.
Comply with environmental procedures and programs.
Interface with supply room customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
Maintain supply room security (Accompany mechanics and electricians for parts).
Maintain supply room in neat, clean and well-organized condition.
a. Perform housekeeping duties daily:i. Wipe down assigned inventory areasii. Leave desk and counter cleaniii. Dust computer equipmentiv. Sweep workstation areav. Empty trash and recycled paper
Perform weekly housekeeping in assigned areas.
Assist employees with investigating parts.
Look for continuous improvement in all areas.
Works closely with supply room clerks and assist as needed.
Ensure that all log forms are being filled out properly.
Communicate any problems or concerns to Department Manager.
Attend weekly safety meetings for Department.
Perform functions needed to maintain efficient and accurate inventory control as outlined in PeopleSoft Training Guide.
a. Perform Inventory Adjustments after approval from Department Manager of items over $1,000.b. Verify inventory system by performing inventories counts as outlined in PeopleSoft Training Guide.
Receive incoming items from Shipping Department. Check items for acceptable condition and check quantity against packing slip and purchase order.
a. Receive all items using PeopleSoft in accordance with PeopleSoft User manuals and Receiving Procedure.i. For PeopleSoft orders, place requestor’s name, date and purchase order number on box/item and place on shelf. Receive items in PeopleSoft System.ii. For supply room items received, enter quantity and date received on computer supply room inventory control. Receive items in PeopleSoft.
Place supply room items in correct location.
Issue supply room items per instructions outlined in PeopleSoft Guide.
Support TPM Activities.
Assist in kitting items as needed for Supply Room.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand or walk for eight (8) to twelve (12) hours.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry and reach occasionally.
Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds frequently.
Ability to distinguish between colors.
Other Requirements:
Must have a high school education or its equivalent.
Must possess good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Actively participates in the SAFETY and PRIDE Processes.
Must be able to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required.
Must demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge.
Must demonstrate good math skills.
Must demonstrate an understanding of basic manufacturing principles.
Must demonstrate the ability to work with confidential matters.
Must attend scheduled Supply Room Meetings.
Plant 78 is a tobacco-free facility.
Tools, Equipment, & Material Requirements:
Responsible for safety equipment issued including safety glasses and earplugs.
Responsible for materials and supplies issued including standard office supplies and other inventory items.
Responsible for equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks including personal computer, printer, fax, copier and calculator.
Follow all applicable environmental efforts and procedures for proper disposal of used material.
Must follow safety rules related to all equipment.
